Sno- Feast 2008 will be upon us soon.  What is Sno-feast?  It is a conference held for youth (7th - 12th) across a 4 state area in Kimball, Minnesota.  Sno-feast began over 20 years ago with some of the original founders still involved in the youth ministry here.  During this conference, students will hear the word of God spoken through worship, prayer and relevant preaching.  Also at Sno-feast students get to re-connect with friends from camp, and various other state activities then concluding with skiing at Powder Ridge.

     We believe that God desires to change the hearts and minds of your students this year.  When I began to seek God for direction on this event a year ago, I came across a verse in Ezekiel 11, “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.  Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.”  A little later in the same week, in the same book, 11 chapters later; unfolds an image, a description that is incredible, horrific, and frightening.  Ezekiel is receiving a message from God about how detestable the actions of His children have been.  The only resolution is to purify their hearts with fire. 

     Stop for a second and picture yourself.  This past year has been a challenge for me personally.  I have been guilty of having a heart of stone and personifying these chapters.  My relationship with God has been ice cold at times.  It is only when I come close to the fiery love of God that my heart melts and my impurities flee from my spirit and soul, then I can be used by Him in whatever way He decides.  I believe God’s message for Sno-Feast 08 can be wrapped up in one word: Melted.  This is what this year’s event will be all about.  Now let’s get to some of the details.
